Day 11 – Puerto Rico

For most Puerto Ricans, Christmas Eve or Nochebuena trumps Christmas Day. This is the night where family and friends gather for a traditional dinner, exchange gifts, go out on parrandas, or take a drive to enjoy the Christmas decorations around town. Traditional meals include the coquito drink, arroz con dulve, arroz con gandules, lechon asado (pork), flan, and temleque.
